It is quite obvious from your comments that you have no idea how Obama wants to govern our amazing nation. While it may be premature to compare him to Lincoln, it is also unfair to say that he is unlike Honest Abe. From what we can all remember from history, Lincoln was presiding over a staggeringly divided nation, one in which ideology replaced civility.
Obama may not be completely unsoiled by scandal or corruption, but I don't believe that such a politician has ever existed. With the stakes that high, even a small mistake is huge. Barack Obama has the right motivation, at the very least, and has the ability to see what's really going on, so Lincoln or not, he can make this nation one again.
It's time to drop all the political name calling, and get to work fixing this country that we -liberal and conservative- all love. Obama has earned the right to at least try, right?

Did Obama grow up on a farm, educate himself by firelight, stick out his neck by supporting morally just legislation that went on to split the union, then endure 5 years of Civil War as Commander in Chief?
Or, did Rezko taint him with money (from Iraqi slush funds) as he did the other Machine Democrats in Chicago? What privileges did Mrs. Obama including Charitable appointments receive?
Can you say C.O.R.R.U.P.T.I.O.N. Or D.D. (Democratic Denial)
Yep...great as Republican Lincoln. Not.

Lincoln was hardly anti-slavery, was anti-freedom, hostel toward the Constitution and freedom, personally profited by providing favors for the railroad industry.
Take a look the works of Thomas DiLorenzo.

The first three commenters show the extreme prejudice of so many on the far right. They complain about Bill Clinton even though the country enjoyed some of it's best years under President Clinton even while he was totally distracted by the paranoid Clinton haters in Washington. Some of those pointing fingers were themselves involved in extra-marital affairs prior to or during the Lewinsky debacle. Obama may ultimately prove that he is not comparable to the best presidents this country has ever had but he has the the ability and desire to heal the polarization of the last 15 years. Let's at least give him a chance before condeming him. Ronald Reagan was the last president that had Obama's abilities and after President Carter this country was in great need of a healer. Reagan was the man at the time. After eight years of President Bush Obama just may be the man for this time. I for one am willing to give him his chance. If the USA is going to survive we need a leader that will help the middle class and inspire people and politicians (distinction by design) to work together for the good of the country and it's citizens.

I think he is corrupt and it will show sooner or later. He seems too good to be true and always have answers for everything but avoiding to answer direct questions just like the famous liar and corrupt Bill Clinton, Obama will sell the country to the highest bidder.

Barack Obama Is a 'Second Lincoln' It is the most ridiculous B.S. Barack Hussein Obama will be the second Lord Saladin.

You can't make that comparison and expect anyone to take it seriously. Obama hasn't even taken office yet. Maybe we ought to wait a while and see how he does before we start adding another face to Mount Rushmore.
