Re: "That Caroline Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg wants the title of senator is by no means certain, and, publicly she's been silent as the Sphinx."

This is arrant nonsense. This woman is begging for the free ticket to the Senate.

SarahBarby started it! With a lot of work here, in eight years or so we could have a totally buff, gorgeous female government. Ooops, guess not, the old women who think this is 'empowering' wouldn't like it! Qualifications, qualifications, qualifications. Gender NO, that's real SEXISM!

I swear!!! You can't get rid of them no matter what they do. I wonder how many Obama come out of the wood work. AZ of NY you are going to ger another Kennedy if she runs for Clinton's democratic seat. I wish that the 60+% that went obots would wake up and see that its the democrats who are ruining this country. They keep blaming the excessive spending on the republicans who don't have enough votes by themselves to name a post office. Of course there are only 1 or 2 republicans that stood up against the democrats so you don't have real strong winners with that old group.

Unqualified? Inexperienced? So what! She would join the ranks of the president-elect. That doesn't seem to be important anymore. Her appointment, instead of her election, would save her from actually having to run against someone to earn the seat. Just more of the same. Norteasterners seem to like this sort of thing.

Caroline can stand on her own two feet. Let's see what happens and not worry about her name, but what she can do for this country.

I do not want another Kennedy in the senate, especially one with no experience and with no track record of fighting for the needs of New Yorkers.

Just because she has the proper family name does not qualify her to lead New York as a senator.

Let's cut through all the emotional & sentimental fog! Let's get serious!

AZ of NY 12:46AM December 13, 2008

So, how much is this one going for on the old Senator auction block? The Kennedy family should not be able to buy this seat, even if it is just with their name (although I'm sure that's not the extent of it).

Caroline kennedy has no right to this senate seat. If she wants it let her run in 2010. She has skills for this and where does she stands on all the issues. I hope hillary puts her foot down on this.
