Another governor of Arizona is raising eyebrows. For many years, "Dr." John Brewer, husband of the new Republican governor of Arizona, Jan Brewer, practiced general medicine in Arizona as a naturopathic physician. In addition to his medical practice, in which he prescribed medications, he also served as the Executive Director of the Arizona Naturopathic Board for which he received $50,000 annually.
In June of 2000 the Arizona Attorney General's Office audited the Arizona naturopathic board and found numerous irregularities, and illegalities including the illegal prescription of drugs. See: http://www.azauditor.gov/Reports/State_Agencies/Agencies/Naturopathic

I find all of this, noise from Illinois, much less than amusing. It reflects on the general condition of these United States. Free immigration, graft, and greed has led this once great nation to it's present condition.
The last president that was not more interested in his own condition ,his own "feelings" over the country's well being was Eisenhower.
Since then it has been all about the buck and all down hill.

When Obama urged Illinois Governor Blagojevich to resign, Oama is in a way declaring war on Russia and Russian's ally including China. Blagojevich is certainly of Russian or Eastern European descent and was elected y those people who are the majority in Illinois. It is an attempt for lack to steal the control of that state from those Eastern Europeans. All Eastern European Americans, including Jewish Americans, must now rise and politically attack Obama.

What you've just described is machine politics. Rod was stupid enough to get caught but every "senate Candidate" was intelligently chosen because of their potential as a player in the machine. Convicted or not, the book deal that will most assuredly come after all of this will have enough names to read like a Chicago phone book. Then the lawsuits will really fly.

I think more important than the apparent overt corruption is that which lies behind. e.g. Why would someone pay $1M to have Jesse Jackson Jr. appointed, unless there were material benefit to be thereby gained after he were in office? The greater potential coruption (and probable past actions) are with Mr Jackson.
This entire issue should not be seen as an isolated case of one politician who happened to have been caught, but what it signifies about the American political system. Candidate #5 (Jackson), no matter his protestations, was/is not just a buyer, but also apparently a down-market seller of influence.

Yes, they are all crooks but that's the way every Democrat in Cook County does and has done business since before the time of Rich Daley Sr. Were it not for powerful machine politics, totally inexperienced public servants like Jesse Jackson Jr. and Lisa Madigan (also both named in the investigation as possible Senate candidates) would've never been elected. The only difference is Blagojevich was stupid enough to get caught. The machine gets battered and bruised every once in a while but after the spotlight turns elsewhere, business as usual returns.

What's the going rate for the moral fiber breakdown? What is time served for approaching a cop to sell drugs or approach politicians to sell the 3rd highest seat in the US? Or what's the time served for selling your child?
For being arrested in the US for the latter 2 crimes, a 'person" would be immediately off the job until further notice or legal hearings, but politicians can come in and "it's work as usual!"
Shame on you, shame on you for belittling the Governorship of the state of Illinois!

Hey bully guy,I agree with you to the point that we need some honest politicians,if there is such a thing,to set real life penalties into law for white collor theives.If proven guilty in a real court of law,if there is such a thing,not the rag news media court selling stories like saturday night wrestling or the so called experts on talk shows holding court on any person they see fit. There is the power factor to think about and the underworld of dealing in even the top goverment.If you dont beleive that leave your car unlocked by the whitehouse or watergate house? Also bully guy, did you notice most politicians have been to law school????? Why would a person take these political jobs, unless there was some side benifits?Do we finaly have a prez clean enough to stand up?Maybe a good example for the rest? At this point you are right about the hang-em, to hell with court sicko's whoever they are.
