What with global warming, Gays trying to destroy the family unit, republicans buying designer clothing only to be auctioned off (so why couldn't they go to ROSS), and now elegant and elaborate meals for the policy makers discussing economic crisis.

It just tells me that there is no crisis and that everything should be alright or that everything is wrong and we have to worry, so hurry up and get the best wines, sauces and meats before the end. Keep the belly happy.

Billions of dollars are paid in bonuses and bailouts to the “wonder boys” on Wall Street. Precisely what have these self-proclaimed Masters of the Universe been doing for billion dollar year-end paydays?

Yesterday we found out.

In recent years “the brightest and best” have perfected the rule-making governing the manipulation of ‘free’ markets and the institutionalization of fraudulent financial instruments and business models.

What still mystifies me is this: What have these heirs of Ozymandias done in 2008 to merit this self-enrichment? More manipulation and more fraud for more ill-gotten gains, I suppose.

What can done for the benefit of the human community to put right this massive wrongdoing?

You were'nt really expedcting them to eat dollar menu items, fish and chips, or beams and rice. I've eaten only close to this on cruise ship vacations, yet, it does'nt come accross as out of touch. What is more significant is the policies their are comtemplating, not the repas de la journée. One might reqard what each leader selected and consumed though.

How about mac and cheese and PB&J?

I think they might then ask us, "What is that?"

With as many Americans as there are making sacrifices, working harder and cutting back in this tough spot in the economy, it's nice to know the elected represenatives are still eating expensive food...Lolla Rosa, Red Oak and Endive?? what is that anyway? We need someone like Sarah Palin to help out taxpayers by having Dennys cater the economic crisis summit...
