Lyndon Johnson opposed racism and segregationism when it was a very powerful force in America.

Remember "Mississippi in Flames", hanging blacks from trees. Remember picnics to hang black people. Youngsters should Study History.

The KKK never loved Johnson, afterwards.

Lyndon Johnson had a lot of courage. He opposed the currents and mentality of the South ( his land ).... He sacrificed some friendships and admiration in the South but he entered the Hall of Fame of History.

Wathever his defects, he had some greatness.

Lyndon Johnson was no historical architect of any social revolution. Without the republicans in congress, his Civil Rights Bill and other legislation pertaining to civil rights would have gone nowhere. The book Master of the Senate details how power hungry and what a meglomaniac Johnson was. He was also extremely racist and use to make racial slurs against blacks ad nauseum. Not much of a human being, certainly not a great president.

I have an image of Lyndon Johnson as a Great Guy and a Major Historical Figure, because of Civil Rights.

It is very unfortunate that millions died in South East Asia because of a Big Mistake. A true Holocaust.

Imagine what would be of America without that progress in Civil Rights and Voting Rights. Kennedy was the inspiration and Johnson the execution.

I find it very hard to believe in some movies ( documentaries ) that try to present Johnson as a Mafia friend or a murderer of Kennedy.

That guy had something good and disliked racial hatred. Johnson is extremely important in the History of Progress of the Human Race.

He lost the South for the Democrats, and he knew that he was losing that region, when signing those civil rights and voting bills.

Johnson is Great in History. No doubt.
