I thank him for protecting us from further terrorist attacks since that horrific and fateful day -- I think he is a man of faith who loves his country and has tried to do his best for us --

Do you thank him for doing nothing to try and prevent 9-11, there were so many warnings, simply putting law enforcement officers on airliners in the north east could have disrupted the event. There is no evidence he even consider trying to stop what the CIA said was an immanent attack on the US by Alqueda using commercial airliners!

I like George Bush -- Had Al Gore won the Presidency in 2000, the USA would still be negotiating sanctions for Afghanistan with the UN after the attacks of September 11, on our soil -- Saddam Hussein would still be in power in Iraq making billions of dollars from the Oil for Food Program, courtesy of the UN and many of our European allies -- France, Germany, Russia, et al -- North Korea and Iran would not be under economic sanctions -- Let`s just say, "Appeasement" -- However, soon you won`t have George W. Bush to kick around anymore -- Though I am assuming everything bad that may happen in the next 15 years will most likely be attributed to him in some perverse way -- I thank him for protecting us from further terrorist attacks since that horrific and fateful day -- I think he is a man of faith who loves his country and has tried to do his best for us --

I'd suggest eliminating term limits as they currently exist; instead, each term spent in office could count as 50 negative votes (one per state) in the Electoral College. This would avoid lame-duck status, at least until the nominating conventions. Going back to the Civil War, the only elections that this rule would have changed would be those of 2004 (Bush v. Kerry) and 1916 (Wilson v. Hughes).

We should ammend the constitution to allow the president to serve 3 terms. Since only 1 president ever did that in almost 200 years, it would not change things much, except that 2nd term presidents would stay on their toes and in touch with the people to leave open the possibility of running again, and 2nd term slumps would be less prevalent.

America’s Shady Age of Treasonous Tyrannical Political Correctness is over; it is the dawn of the Sunny Age of Patriotic Revolutionary Political Bluntness.

America’s Christian Culture and Constitutional Rule shall be restored in course of the ongoing Cultural War, by whatever Constitutional means necessary.

[WELCOME TO CRITICAL THINKING 101!]

Argumentum ad hominem (argument directed at the person). This is the error of attacking the character or motives of a person who has stated an idea, rather than the idea itself. The most obvious example of this fallacy is when one debater maligns the character of another debater.

[Don't even try to THINK "what character assassination, ok?]

Argumentum ad ignorantiam (argument to ignorance). This is the fallacy of assuming something is true simply because it hasn't been proven false. For example, someone might argue that global warming is certainly occurring because nobody has demonstrated conclusively that it is not. But failing to prove the global warming theory false is not the same as proving it true.

Argumentum ad misericordiam (argument or appeal to pity). The English translation pretty much says it all. Example: "Think of all the poor, starving Ethiopian children! How could we be so cruel as not to help them?" The problem with such an argument is that no amount of special pleading can make the impossible possible, the false true, the expensive costless, etc. (Drilling here now WILL make the price of oil per barrel go down, because it's the FUTURES market, ok?? DUH!)

Argumentum ad nauseam (argument to the point of disgust; i.e., by repitition). This is the fallacy of trying to prove something by saying it again and again. But no matter how many times you repeat something, it will not become any more or less true than it was in the first place. Of course, it is not a fallacy to state the truth again and again; what is fallacious is to expect the repitition alone to substitute for real arguments.

[This is your libertarians and their phony - but successful - "illegal immigrants taking good jobs from honest American mouths routine, slight-of-handing the typical voter into forgetting most of our jobs went to China, thanks to Bill Clinton]

And finally, folks.....

Argumentum ad antiquitatem (the argument to antiquity or tradition). This is the familiar argument that some policy, behavior, or practice is right or acceptable because "it's always been done that way." This is an extremely popular fallacy in debate rounds; for example, "Every great civilization in history has provided state subsidies for art and culture!" But that fact does not justify continuing the policy.

[Welcome to the well trodden muck of the Democrat agenda.]

[Your homework will be to THINK FOR YOURSELVES for a change, rather than swallowing the mass media's version of The View or Howard Stern! Due Monday! Have a nice weekend, folks!]
