When I get the feeling a panick attack is about to happen, I stick one ;ill under my tounge and within minutes I feel completely calm and no longer anxious. I also use the medication if I drank too much wine the night before (too much sugar), I take one pill and the anxiety is gone.

One of my biggest concerns with this election is how it will affect my SSDI. I painfully work p/t because I cannot live on my SSD alone, and I have to be careful due to the monthly maximum gross income allowed before losing my SSD. They talk about people struggling to live on $30,000 per year, what about those of us who struggle on only $13,000 per year? Yes, that wasn't a typo, I really said thirteen thousand dollars! I am 49 years old and have worked since I was 16. At age 45 I became disabled and could no longer work. I paid taxes for almost 30 years, and $13,000 is what I get in return?

All I have been hearing about is those that make over $100,000 per year. To me, anything over $20,000 would make me feel rich!

Senior taxpaying citizens are being abused and ignored by our Government. It looks like they are taxing seniors on all of their income to make up for all of the tax credits given in the past years to those taxpayers under age 65.

I am fighting to get our Government to add COLA adjustments to the threshold figures used to determine how much of a senior’s Social Security benefits will be taxed. There have been no increases to these figures in 25 years. We don’t want to wait until our Congress attempts to fix the long term situation with Social Security.

In addition I want our Government to give some tax credits to senior taxpayers. As of this moment there are zero tax credits. How about deducting an amount from received interest, dividend and capital gains equal to the amount a taxpayer under age 65 can contribute to his IRA?

McCain-the Manchurian Candidate? Remember that movie??? Now with Communist VietNam coming out stating they support McCain - one might wonder - geeee, is McCain a 'deep cover' agent a la' The Manchurian Candidate??? Vietnam now has one of the worlds largest oil fields off it 's coast & needs that developed to compete with communist China for our remaining dollars - has a deal been 'pre-made' whereby we'll give them the development the want & get cheaper Reeboks in exchange?? One just wonders how these candidates get chosen. And again, how quickly they forget their campaign pledges.

As a Social Security Disability lawyer, I know first hand that it provides a subsistence income to many disabled persons, persons that have a physical or mental disability that prevent them from working. Neither Bush nor McCain address how this vital part of Social Security will be funded if the system is privatized.
