Blog Buzz: Iraq Withdrawal Timetable, Budgetary Uncertainty, and the Ever-Evolving McCain Campaign

July 8, 2008 RSS Feed Print

Our daily look at stories and topics lighting up the Internets today:

Date Uncertainty

Obama says 16 months, McCain says 100 years or by 2013 (depends on what the definition of "withdrawal" is), and now top Iraqis are saying: Make up your mind. (Though the Bush administration doesn't want to get the message.)

Budget Certainty (as in: We're Certain None Make Sense)

So neither Obama's nor McCain's budget plan adds up. (Speaking of the economy, a sure way to irk the right: Describe the economy as being in "shambles." Which left-wing political group did so? The McCain campaign, natch.)
