I don't think that Huckabee would be an option. He can't pull left voters and he stuck in the race as long as possible until he was able to match the number of votes Romney picked up in a much shorter time. Romney is a known Mormon, but his views on stem cell research and other topics aren't in line with die-hard LDS thinking. He's a lot less evangelical and religion focused than Huckabee. With the economy how it is, Romney could very well be the winning ticket.
I think that he'll try to feel out who Obama will pick. I think race and gender are major factors in this election. If Obama chooses a woman, then McCain will do the same (maybe Conni Rice). If Obama chooses a man, then I think that Romney could be a winning ticket.

John's just waiting for Obama to show his hand/selection first, which will probably be Hillary. Then he'll announce his which most likely be Mike Huckabee since he can draw votes from conservative voters of all races & parties.
Believe this was settled long ago and stategy planned to run a frugal campaign. That's why Mike worked his way onto FOX to be a commentator. The Dems will raise Hell about it and McCain/Huckabee will get free media coverage over it, and FOX more viewers to see what the rukus is about.
