I already have the utmost respect for Senator Obama. The statements he made in defense of his wife make me respect him even more.
The fact that Mrs. Obama is capable of defending herself and is very much in the public eye is totally unrelated to Senator Obama's decision to fulflll his responsibility to love, honor, and respect his wife. Thank you Senator Obama, for (again) exemplifying your class, leadership ability, and fearlessness.
And no, I'm not an old-fashioned, cooking-baking type who looks to a man to do the talking for her. I'm a legal professional, a wife, and a mother, and I couldn't bake a good cookie if my life depended on it!

Sam, I don't know where you get this one sided "hypocrite" thing from. Obama is the one that has on the whole been positive, avoided negative campaigns. Such a refreshing change in Politics.
Hillary, Bush and McCain are all the same with minor twists, they don't want real change and the way this country is headed into depression we need change.
Your comments indicate that either you are really a Republican pretending to be a Democrat, or are simply a bigot.
At least I have an open mind and do my research.

Obama and his wife think it's O.K. to attack Hillary and her husband, every chance they get, and Obama even made a nasty comment about Hillary's daughter!! I'm so sick of his big mouth trying to preach to everyone. If he doesn't want his wife attacked, maybe he shouldn't do it to others. Or maybe she should keep her big ignorant mouth shut! I guess they really do agree with their favorite preacher don't they ? At least Hillary is, and always has been for ALL of the people: no matter their race, gender, age, or nationality !! She has always fought for the rights of ALL AMERICANS, for health care, medicare, taxes, women's rights, VETERAN'S rights,and ALL CHILDREN! We all know what Obama and his wife's interests and agendas are!! He only wants to be president for his own personal gain and agenda for black people instead of for ALL Americans. If he gets the nomination, I will not vote at all and I've been a democrat all of my life.

Some of you just don't get the point. Obama is defending her as a loving husband and he has no qualms about the political fallout. That to me is an honest man. Not one that constantly thinks about how he should spin things to his favor. If I were in his shoes I would do the same for the woman I love no matter what the consequences were.

Obama likes to dish out the attacks along with his wife, but oh my don't attack his wife that has said she was not proud of her country. First off everyone knows that a politician and who ever campaigns for him is fair game. We have seen nothing yet, if Obama gets into the White House we will hear one complaint after another from his family and from Barack himself and we do not need a complainer as our leader, we need someone strong and with powerful words. Obama is to much a wimp and a cry baby along with a very uncalled for smart wife that thinks she can say anything without taking the responsiablity for her words! Ruined for the Nation, of a chance to have a LEVEL head in the Government and may never have one ever again ........
