When I was growing up in NYC , FDR and his wife were two of the most important leaders of our country in my life....especially in the late thirties and early forties. Our country did need him for four consecutive terms,he was absolutely the most responsible and capable leader of his time . Eleanore was also a very remarkable person as well, and did a great deal for our nation and the world through her magnificent work and contributions of time and energy to set the United Nations on the right path for Humanity, while finding time to raise her fine family.......thank heavens that Sara Roosevelt had the sense to do and say the right thing at that time........cordially, Steve..
