Amazing life story and it makes me ashamed of the south Carolina primary...how could voters here be duped by Newt's slam dunks at two debates? We both voted early for Romney because our polling locale changes from place to place and often has long long lines...over 65 year old voters may vote early and/or absentee...crossover voters in sc primaries also is a unique feature here...I called my democratic friends and asked them to crossover for Romney, Martha Barkley in charleston, sc

• This is a great article. I believe that one of the Debate should cover the family background of the candidates, the college education and degree, the business experience and the political experience. Romney has one wife in 42 years in contrast of 3 wives for Gingrich. The actual wife was his previous mistress. We need to emphasize this information in a debate. Romney has the personality, the experience, the integrity, the knowledge in Law, and private Business and government , and a degree in Economics from Harvard Law and Business Administration.

Frank, I so agree that Mitt will someday be President of the United States of America and I hope and pray it is his time in 2012.He is by far the best suited to turn this mess around we now see our country in. He has the experience, business sense, and the charisma to be elected. The tea party is luke warm right now, but hopefully they will see what we need, and it is Mitt.

I love Mitt Romney and am behind him all the way as he continues to make his way up the polls. I was also for Mitt when he ran in 2008, but that was not to be. This, I feel is Mitt's year to win the nomination and I definately think he is the most qualified in the GOP field to use his business skills to turn this ship around, economically.You CAN do it this time MR. Romney, our country desperately needs you.

Dave, Don't you know that MANY people get a degree in English or any other subject before getting their law degrees? What, you think he's elite? If your father was a governor, you WOULD be elite. He's a very smart man. Give credit where credit is due... Your last paragraph was shamelessly idiotic and shows your lack of moral character. His record of holding to values the average American would want is beyond reproach. It's too bad people like you aren't screened out of making comments like you did. What I want to know is how an English major (who apparently is connected enough for presidents to attend his wedding). Somehow found the time to gain master ’s degree from Harvard in a completely unrelated field “at the top 5% of his class”, raised a growing family, AND was able to find a way to finance both.
What I suspect we have here is an “elite” rich man who was able to use his family connections and money to buy and schmooze his way into favorable positions and special favors. If true, he has not had to work his way to where he is and therefore- How can we expect him to hold the same values as working Americans?

I am not Mormon but am very familiar with the church and have many friends and even family members that are Mormons. The Mormons believe in and accept the King James Bible as scripture. They also accept the Book of Mormon as scripture which they believe is the record of the ancient inhabitants of the Americas. The name of the "Mormon" church is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints". Why would they name they church after Jesus Christ if they weren't Christians? Calling them Morons in addition to your uneducated assessment of their beliefs only shows your ignorance, Teresa.
