It is really quite comical that anyone would think of Senator Edward Kennedy as a compassionate man, or even a hero to the people. Why don't you ask Mary Jo Kopechne's family where his heroes cape was when he was drunk driving and killed her?

Windrunner from Arizona, what radical vitiolic language you utter!!! You are entitled to you ropinion but I disagree. He was responsible for major legislation- Americans with Disabilities Act, Title IX, Mental Health Parity Act, CHIP among others. You may disagree with his politics but you Shouldn't let that disuade you from accepting what he has accomplished. Rest in Peace Teddy !

Let all true Americans rejoice in the passing of this lowlife scumbag. Most of the negative comments on this bum have focused on his coverup of the Mary Jo tragedy, but his anti American activities scanned many decades. First and foremost he was a traitor to the American way of life, and with great fervor did his utmost to destroy the peace and serenity of a growing nation with his attempts at bastardizing common sense solutions to any realistic proposals put forth by right thinking senators with the power that he held. His inordinate passion for alcohol surely was a contributing factor, but that aside he was a born socialist intent on changing America for the worse. He was the worst of a large crew with like ideas, and we can only hope that this trend continues with the passing of many more of his comrades.

Say what you will about Ted Kennedy and the accident on the Vineyard.
But the fact of the matter remains that he has been on the forefront of major legislation that has shaped American history and has benefitted the entire nation. I shutter to think where this country would be without Ted Kennedy.

Another scumbag from the Kennedy family. He disgusts me.

The Kennedy family should be recognized as, "American Patriots". I'm speaking of the Joe and Rose Kennedy family. Joseph died for his country, John and Robert died as well. Their personal affairs had nothing to do with their love and devotion for the American people. As far as Ted Kennedy, yes he should of taken responsibility for the death of Ms. Kopechne. Just as George Bush Sr. and Jr. should have been impeached for treason against America. We all know how and when Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein got control of the war-fare material to make missles and use them against America.
If you don't know, I suggest you begin reading the invasion of Germany during the 60's. Political heresy and manipulation has been building up for a long time. Now it's to the point of no return. We can thank the Bush family for that.To be more accurate. George Bush, father and son. They are setting back with an anual $200.000.00 fat check from the country they used to get rich. Unlike John F. Kennedy who didn't turn his back on his men after a Japanese Distroyer sank their PT-109 boat in 1943. All of the men worked together to survive. A TEAM.
So, Im assuming what I'm hearing from previous posts are; It's O. K. to Let American people Die, as long as they are not cheating on their wives. It's O. K. to watch an American soldier get his head sawed off on National Television and watch buildings fall on Innocent people. Just don't do something embarrasing in your personal life. It's fine if you take away our jobs, food, insurance, homes, and fuel.
What is wrong with you people?????
You need to Thank God for the earlier generation of Kennedys. Their spiritual life is up to them and God. Their Political Life shows more compassion for the American people then I have since they have been in office.

After living in Hyannis this is all BS. If anyone else had been involved in that so called car accident they would have been in Jail period.
We all need to find a way to stop these lifetime appointments in both the House and Senate. 8 Years max. It will never happen because the very one's that need the term limits are the same ones who will have to vote on it.

Butchrgt of FL sickens me with his blind adoration of the Kennedy family. Ted is a murderer and his family name is what kept him out of prison. Wake up, most of the country believes this even today.
