YES, THERE ARE MANY WHO STAND ON THE OUTSIDE AND ARE VERY CRITICAL OF A MASON! I AM A MASTER MASON IN THE BLUE LODGE! I STAND READY TO DEFEND THE MASONIC LODGE ANY TIME,ANY WERE! THE GOAL OF A TRUE MASON IS TO BUILD UP WHATEVER MAY BE THE TASK AT HAND! WERE THERE IS A NEED THAT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO THEIR ATTENION,THEY WILL GIVE IT THEIR ALL! IN SOME CASE'S THEY HAVE BEEN MORE INVOLVED IN HELPING THEN SOME OF THE CHURCH'ES! BUT YET SOME OF THE CHURCH'ES ARE VERY CRITICAL OF THE LODGE BECAUSE OF HERESAY!THE CHURCH'ES THAT HAVE DONE THEIR RESEARCH

ON THE LODGE KNOW BETTER! MY THOUGHTS ARE DON'T JUDGE ME ON WHAT YOU HERE,JUDGE ME ON MY ACTIONS! A TRUE MASON WILL PROVE HIMSELF TO BE TRUE TO HIS CALLING!OH,BUY THE WAY WE ATTEND CHURCH AND BELEIVE IN GOD LIKE MOST OF US DO. SO ANY ONE IN DOUBT ABOUT A MASON, DO A LITTLE RESEARCH TO SEE WHAT WE STAND FOR!! GOD BLESS AMERICA

The Freemasons are truly exceptional. Although the Fraternity was falsely accused of wrongdoing many years ago, and some took advantage of this for their own selfish reasons, there has never been any doubt in my mind that Freemasons are truly the most honorable men that have ever walked this Earth.

I once saw an elderly woman trip and fall while walking down the sidewalk while I was on vacation in Honolulu, Hawaii. A man, who waiting to donate blood at the time, rushed over to help her. He caught her as she was falling, brought her over to sit in a chair, and absolutely refused to leave her side. As he knelt beside her, holding an icepack to her bruised knee, he began talking with her about any and all subjects in which she was interested.

After a short time, the woman's son came to pick her up to take her home. Before she left, however, the young man (he could not have been a day older than 30), gave her his phone number and told her to call him should she ever need anything. The elderly woman, somewhat puzzled by his gesture, looked at him and simply asked "why?"

His reply was: "Because I am a Freemason, and it is my duty."

I might also add that, as this man was speaking with this woman, a younger woman (who I later discovered was his girlfriend) stood watching the exchange, nodding her head, with tears of pride and happiness in her eyes.

I then began to cry myself.

I joined the masonic fraternity about a year ago. Since then I feel its probably one of the most important decisions of my life. Besides making new friends or Brothers we get to be of service to our communities through outreach projects.

There's alot of ways to spend your spare time. I would highly recommend this fraternity to men who would like to be apart of an organization that prides itself on a behaviour of principals over personalities.

I was a Rainbow and without that membership would not have been envolved in the most prominant social activities that were organized. I had a lot of funand don't remember and thing that would be considered a great "secret", we did charity activities and planned many social events. It was a lot of fun. After high school my membership was over and I don't remember activities of the Eastern Star, but I am sure there were activies I wasn't involved in. All this was 45 years ago

I'm a graduate Rainbow Girl, and a demited Eastern Star. My mother and grandmother were Eastern Stars and my father a Mason and an Eastern Star. My cousins are Masons. Therefore, I have known many, many, many 20th century Masons, and ALL, without exception, have been kind, helpful, honest, loyal Americans in ALL their dealings. We all can only wish that those who make up false attacks would conduct their lives as decently and as honorably as do Masons.

Fraternaties and Sororities also have secret meetings. Does this make them "evil"? No! Nor does it make Masons "evil plotters". The above article is right on. Get the facts before you accuse.

A most informative summary of a much maligned organization. I have always smiled at the prevalence of founders of our nation in Masonry and the contrast with wild-eyed claims of world dominion, secret cabals of Baal worship, and other (take your pick) various conspiracy theorists pet stories. Could all these men of the age of enlightenment be so "crafty"? I will admit that the wild tales of later Masonic revisionism to a much older history and links to ancient mysticism, that fueled evangelical ire, weren't helpful in the long run.

America and the world would do well to remember the ideals to which our nations founders aspired to and committed to paper were also the principles of the Masonic Order and that, despite pop fiction, we owe the Masons a debt of gratitude.
