I purchased a copy of the 2011 35mm STEREO DVD of the Beatles Let it be movie last month.I'll tell you,if your TV is set up with stereo speakers and a receiver,your gonna feel like your in those Twickenham/Apple studios! Man what a difference!You'll never go back to the MONO version ever again.It sounds amazing!However they could of done more to the print.Even though the grain is all gone(finally) and the colors look better,sometimes the picture looks a little blured,especially when you see the Beatles faces..not all the time,but the remastering could have been "tweeked" a little more to get a sharper picture...but still better then the VHS.The widescreen is fine,but if this would have been a 16mm print rather then using the 35mm,it would have been almost a legit release from Apple.Concusion,pick up this 2011 35mm Stereo widescreen until Apple gets a clue and finally release this movie.(Oh the rooftop concert,you wanna turn that up all the way!)

For proof just go to youtube and type in "Let It Be Theatrical Version." You'll be amazed at what you see.

Although, the City of London has shut down the appropiate celebration of the 40th anniversary at No. 3 Savile Row, Seattle will be celebrating with their own re-enactment of the Rooftop Concet. Creme Tangerine will perform the exact set the Beatles did 40 years ago to the hour with special guest Ken Mansfield, former US manager for Apple Records, who was the only U.S. citizen on the roof that day in '69. A rooftop in Seattle's Pike Place Market will be the place...you know the time and day.

This event is going to be recreated on the actual day and location, Friday 30th January 2009, No.3 Savile Row, London, W1.
It will be attended by celebrities and celebrity Beatles fans, celebratiing the 40th anniversary

In response to the comment by Kevin Johnson, Let It Be was shot in 16mm with a 4:3 aspect ratio. For theatrical release it was blown up to 35mm and cropped. Later home video releases took the 35mm version and pan and scanned it! For correct aspect ratio it should be presented full screen, not in a fake, cropped widescreen.

Paul, Ringo, and surviving wives, why haven't you released this remarkable peice of history- the film let It Be?!? Do you not realize people are still foaming at the mouth for any new Beatles releases(and yes Paul, ya'll should release thar avant gaurde(sp?) peice ya'll recorded) along with some other songs that weren't released as singles(at least as far as I remember), but sound as good today as they did in the sixties. Maybe one song per Beatle- George's "Savoy Truffle", John's "In My Life" or "Glass Onion", Ringo's "Octopus' Garden" and Paul...there are so many- "You Won't See Me", "Blackbird", "Back In the USSR", "Drive My Car". There are so many great songs, and Elvis and Mariah Carey(of all people-talented singer but not in the entertainment league of The Beatles and Elvis) are catching up to you on the #1 Singles list.
And Paul, if you're reading this, I have an idea for a musical based upon songs you've written as a Beatle and solo artist. Please contact me, so we can collaborate on this project.

the rooftop concert was fabulous. i only wish the police had not interfered.
i am looking forward to a dvd release that hopefully includes more footage of what went on whether good or bad.

It was broadcast ONCE after the assasination of John Lennon on a Cable chanel that I did not have. I brought my HUGE vcr over to Aunt Ruth's house and taped it. I enjoy parts of it, but the aspect ratio is all wrong. Sometimes John and Paul are singing but the camera only shows Ringo and George! I hope if they ever release it that it will be in wide screen format.
