Social Security... blame Bush too?

Obama's about to sign into law the house passed bills allowing illegal immigrants rights to social security benefits, though they've never contributed a dime. An already troubled retirement system will receive it's death blow by a president looking to shore up voting constituencies, the poor, uneducated and illegals that make up a huge part of the minority faction that put the Dems in office. Thanks Obama when none of us have Social Secutiry and have to rely on these flagging 401k's

Obama?

Obama caused this mess? The losses they're talking about here were in 2008 under Bush's watch. It was his deregulation of the financial industry and building up record deficits that caused this. Obama is just trying to clean up the mess he made

Retirement

This is what happens when an inexperienced, incompetant President with his own personal agenda is elected. Hopefully you did not vote for Obama. I sure didn't.

retirement

Like many, my husband and I lost 50% of our 401K. We are both 66 years old and are retired. We raised three children and lived in a three bedroom, 1 bathroom house. We paid our bills and saved for retirement. The government is not interested in helping us. The new guidelines for Medicare in the stimulus bill will take away many health options that we have now. If the procedure or medication is too expensive, we will be refused. We are to "tighten our belts." I guess if the old people are killed off because of lack of medication or treatment, this will certainly help the deficit.
