Survey: Retirement Is for New Beginnings

Retirement not natural, invented in 1930's

Retirement was invented in the 1930's to make room for other workers when there was huge unemployment after the Hoover Administration. To work like a dog for the man all your life and then suddenly sit around doing nothing is not good. The real answer is to stay busy and transition to things you really want to do. Being self employed most of my life, when I am asked about retirement it sounds strange. What would I do, retire from myself?
