appy for medicaid if u cant get medicare. no embarrassment. I get food stamps, too. Every little bit helps. Right now, I can afford my meds anyway because I asked my dr. to check the Walmart formulary everytime he wants to write a prescription.

My eyedrops are going to be a problem. I had to make extra trips to opthmalogist because of possible glaucoma. Medicaid requires more visits to establish a diagnosis. SO-- they paid for visits, but, the eyedrops are 4 x a day if medicaid pays for them--the kind u pay $4 for at my favorite store. The once or twice a day drops are gong to be a big BIG expense that edicaid will not want to pay for.

Senior Corps, Americorps, have positions for active seniors.

If U have social security, yr benefits wont be hurt. Go online at www.americorps.gov or www.seniorcorps.org.

Finding a job at 60 with a preexisting medical condition

I am 60 years old and I found it almost imposible to get a decent job with benefits when I moved to a new area. I have thought of aplying for social security disablity insurance but I would be limited in the ammount I could make if I wanted to get a part time job. Right now my biggest expence is medical insurance which I can't do without.

Is this a comman problem? How do others cope with it?

Dear sir,

I would like to know what is the best way to change from one department to another within the same organization(from private banking to credit department) even though you get responses that

you don't have experience in the department that u want to be transfered to.

What are the steps to do and the responses to answer to people they say u need experience to transfer to a different department?

Not to paint with broad strokes here, but many young adults today just don't understand what it takes to give first class customer service. Again, there are some that do, but many that do not. You don't want to know how many times I have had the cash in my hand and ready to buy a product, when I could not find a salesperson or cashier to TAKE MY MONEY. After a long frustrating wait, I just put the merchandise down and leave the store. I figure, they don't want my money. I know it first hand from talking to my own young relatives (nieces and nephews); kids today think that money grows in trees.
