age 62 retirement

because my husband had heart attack and defibrilator in & out of hosp. I thought I may have to quit my job and help care for him I was missing lots of work etc. so I only get $611 befor ins taken out. My husband gets about $1100. Its a financial mess if I quit my parttime job. I am now 65yrs and the job is mainten. at a county park with lots of stuff I really cant do now, I have to try because of budget cuts we are about 5 or 6 people short with many more to go. This park is 500 acres and lots of work with more put on us all the time. I want to quit and find easier job but except for the simplest xomputer stuff I feel ill equip. to find other work. I need a real long and stretchable SHOESTRING

Does any one have experience with mineral depreciation as an income shelter?

I've been looking for ways to shelter income because I'm expecting major tax changes to offset all of this spending by the gov't. Does anyone have experience with mineral depreciation allowances as a tax shelter. I came across this blog and thought it was an interesting idea. http://blog.greenwichfinancial.com/2008/05/copyright-2008-greenwich-financial.html

retirement on a shoestring

Maybe an investment in a dictionary and a grammar book would be in order?

Why

Why would a senior have to treat himself/herself like a cheapskate after whole life working hard for the family and society? Some people have never enjoyed life and think that they can enjoy life after retirement. Where the enjoyment of life? I don't understand.
