Some others above said it well. Do some research. My investments have doubled over the last three years. Most folks spend more time following the life of their favorite movie star or sports star, then they spend learning what they should do with their retirement funds. Even with moderate income one can obtain weath over time if they learn about investing and control ling consumption. But most don't want to do either.

I scoff at your comments, I work for one of those big Insurance Companies and one of our sales team duped you into something that looks like an 8% return. So congratulations, you were just had! Thats why those higher up in the company like myself make those 6 figure incomes that I would never put back into an annuity....
