Iam so sick of you people blaming Bush for everything. This housing mess started with Clinton and all of the liberal dems who decided every one should own a home, even if they really couldn't afford one. These are the people who are defaulting on their loans and driving the housing market into the pits.Bush wasn't the best President we have had,but Obama is going to bankrupt this country if someone doesn't put a stop to his reckless spending!

whats your solution buddy? being independent does not count as one!. 8 years of the bush madness has got us where we are today. why wasn't there a hue and cry over escalating asset prices? they should probably include an element of asset prices into inflation (wasn't that what it was anyway?) but the bigger point is why the country is in the mess that it is in? The binge was before, and now everybody is paying the price? Isn't buying a home more than you can afford an excess too?

Peter, are you aware of the size of the REEBOK shoe you placed squarely into your own mouth?

To Peter D. Slaughter of OH... while I agree the USA is far from what it should be, it almost seems like you are promoting the very racial hate that you state you despise. There is no hope for the country with people who believe "insert your ethnic group here" who has a Right to be better than those other guys down the road "insert THEIR ethnic group here".

Reading your general message makes it immensely clear that you are a racist too, and just to clarify: Being racist because the other guys are and you need to make things right is NOT a valid reason. The only way for us to be a better country is to Evolve PAST this childish rhetoric.

For the record, I am an Obama supporter, and I believe that President Obama would not want to associate with people spouting the racist material you are promoting.

Lastly, if you REALLY believe this country is so evil, there are over 160 others from which for you to choose to emigrate to.

Peter Slaughter is a girly man

Get a life, Peter Slaughter. This article is about real estate, so go preach your bullsh@t elsewhere. No one wants to hear it, nor does anyone, except for morons like you, believe it.

Racism is a major problem

So until amerikkka wakes up and stop practing racism and hate

in this country on poor black people and around the world.

The non-sense will continue.

This is what people of this country get for blindly following

the racist, oppressive agenda of the republikkklan party.

Don't blame Obama and he is just one man and it's bigger than him.

Go look at the video Obama Deception and read the book

Armed Madhouse.

You might learn something on a higher level

sounds like Keith is the one who is sensitive...

Keith...all you did was swear a few times and call people "idiots". Brilliant commentary...Is that supposed to be persuasive? Let me know what school that was you paid your way through so I can make sure not to recommend it to anyone. I'm an independent, but if you don't want a "hand out" then why are you a Democrat? Might want to follow the actions of your party a little closer because they want to take care of people who pop out children with no regard to the responsibilities/cost that go along with them, and who don't want to work even if they could get a job. Any party who has Pelosi as one of its leaders is absolutely frightening to anyone who is even remotely paying attention! I suppose you think Michael Moore is a genius too?

Harlan, Glorias from Coast to Coast, etal

Sounds as if most of have a general idea of what the problem is - we put on our letterman sweaters with either a "D", "R" or "I" and brazenly espouse why we got/ are getting screwed by others. Why then, are we consistently getting screwed over the past thirty odd years? . . . we are not holding anyone's feet to the fire once they're elected !!!

Gambling, sex scandals are meant to divert our attention from the real sins in our State Capitols and Washington - I think the awakening that President Eisenhower foresaw is long over do ! You have the strongest tool since the Liberty Bell cracked to be heard across this country. Go for it!!

Of course clean up your language and get the facts straight so the tone is more palatable - and don't express it just here - challenge your representatives directly AND don't be satisfied with patronage or a half-hearted scripted reply.

My Opinion: Chicago won't host the 2016 Olympics because the "Ugly American" was not wearing a white linen suit in the tropics - but bared his pompus manners and speech before a body that could act immediately - and they did! This is one President we should keep at home for the sake of international relations.
