Direct Purchase plans and DRIPs

For those willing to do stock research and kep records Direct Purchase and Dividend ReInvestment Plans can be a good choice. Many large companies have these plans and they are usually an inexpensive way to invest. Starting investments range from about $250 and up and fees and commissions are usually quite low. You can reinvest dividends or make cash purchases to accumulate more shares (that's where the bookkeeping comes in)

Use your search engine to find websites that give more information about the plans and how to use them.
