I just moved to MN for a little more than a year. Though, the winter is not easy to get by, it's not as scary as many people have exaggerated it. You just have to be prepared a little bit more and better for it. I love summer, fall and spring here. Can't complain a word about those 3 seasons.

If You Like Loooong Winters
Not sure how "old" the other writer is, but I lived in MN for 25 years and though a nice big city, the winters ARE harsh and the summers ARE muggy with lots of bugs. The weather in the fall ans spring is nice, too bad there's only about 2 weeks of each season.
The writer of this article is most likely from the area.

I love that you included Eden Prairie in this list. I've lived in Minnesota sinve I was ten years old, and I love it here. But "Harsh winters and muggy summers?" You're forgetting that Minnesota has some of the most beautiful weather anywhere in the spring and fall. And our winters really aren't that bad- most people just aren't tough enough to handle them ;)
