Artcile

Hi, my name is Warren and I am a senior in highschool and I would like to say that I found your article to be very interesting. This article has answered many questions that I have tried to ask my friends and family members. I plan to use the tips and talk to my family about them, because we have not grocery shopped much since the recession started and we have been eating out a lot instead. Again great artcile!

Enjoying cheap living

Americans tend to buy their entertainment. Movies, dinner, travel. But it can be done on the cheap. First for media go to the library. DVD rentals are $1/week and everything else books, CD's, magazines, high speed computers are free. It's better than walking around in the mall being tempted. Diner at home is 45% cheaper than dining out, takes less time, and at least you burn some calories making the dinner. And have your family help, most people don't really know the life skill of cooking these days without the use of a microwave.Vacation can be a three hour drive to a rented cottage, campsite, or tourist cabin that will cost a lot less than plane fare anywhere, not to mention the logding, and restaurants (and you will be a lot more relaxed when you return). Never buy what you can rent. Remember George Carlin's comedy routine about "stuff", we store too much that will never be used again. Know when you get the fever to "Buy". Step back and think of maintaining, storing, and moving that thing you want to buy. Rent it and it is out of your hair when you return it. Sell what you have not used in a year or give it to charity (and you should be using family photo's more than once a year to keep you grounded).
