When? Manana?

I once got a Forune Cookie which read, "You are waiting for something that will never happen." At the time my third daughter was waiting to be born. she happened.

I am now 81 years old, and I don't think I will wait for the polution loving politicians to act on this.

Good Idea!

Yes, presently for instance, tax rebates are being used by or politicians to encourage spending where they want economic stimulus. For example, rebates on SUV's,,which were encouraged to support the auto industry and gas consumption. It worked, then four years later, we are told that we now have to buy small, gas-saving hybrids, etc. The auto industry and energy companies were both being romanced for political reasons. Now housing. rebates there will be the same, to romance the building and timber industry. Also, got help us if your parents die at the wrong time, as mine did. The inheritance tax took it all, a couple of years later, it would have taken much less. These artificial manipulations by politicians must stop.

taxes

Why Not just enact the FairTax now and just forget about flat taxes and all the others that have been proposed. Every one gets a prebate up to the poverty limit for size of family, all income ,payroll, excise, death,ss,medicare and coporate taxes are [(REPLACED)[ by the 23% imbedded,[(INCLUSIVE)] FAIRTAX rate.

You increase the tax base by any and every one who purchases any NEW item for sale over the poverty level, including items purchased by foreigners who visit our country on vacations. Even our underground economy participants will pay whenever they buy something. Something that cost $100.00 before the FAIRTAX costs the same $100.00 after. You make $1000 a week before the FAIRTAX you might get $700. after our tax structure takes their cut. $1000. a week after FAIRTAX your takehome pay is $1000.

Check it out @FAIRTAX.org. Better yet buy the book and enjoy the read..
