Response to Kayla Pharmacist question

Why do Pharmacist's make so much money? Same reason physicians & dentists make a lot of money. Pharmacists do more than dispense medication. They play an integral role in treating patients. Pharmacists need to know about drug interactions, the difference between toxic levels of a certain medication vs. therapeutic levels in the human body. They advise patients on how to take medication. Basically, Pharmacists do way more than count pills. So, imagine devoting 8 years (4 yrs of undergrad and 4 more years of graduate schooling) to studying and only getting paid $45,000 - that's definitely not worth it! The salaries of pharmacists compensate for the years of training they must complete and it also compensates for the amount of knowledge they use on a daily basis.

Training Difficulty

A is easiest and D would be most difficult (eg. hair stylist is an A while veterinarian is a D)

Biomedical Eqipment Technician

So, I happen to be a BMET. And let me tell anyone aspiring to be one too that the job discxription listed is very accurate. Now, the average day is actually a bit slower than the scenario, but all of the tasks are absolute reality. I love my job and wouldn't trade it for anything! Plus, the pay is nice too :)

Veterinarian C/D??

I'm not a vet, but it would seem that learning how to treat multiple species that can actually attack you would be far more difficult than learning how to treat people.

School psychologist

I will be a school psychologist in September and this article is correct; it's such a rewarding job :-). My advice to anyone going into it though is to prepare to get your doctorate because currently there is a question in the field about letting masters level professionals hold the title of "school psychologist". Check out the APA website for more info.
