casting society of america link is useless-- you need to already have 2 years or experience just to join their club where the "jobs go so quickly" they don't bother to post them online

Casting Directors

As an assistant, you make very little money. Once you move up to full fledged casting director, you can make a decent living but you probably won't get rich unless you find your way to the top of the profession and work on big studio films. Also, the article lists talent agencies, not casting offices and these are two different things. A good source of information is the Casting Society of America (CSA).
