Professional Wellness Coach or LifeCoach training

I am in the middle of training with the ILCT or Institute for LifeCoach Training to become a Coach. It has been very helpful in teaching both the professional skills of coaching and how to market myself to get my own clients. I chose this compay because they are one of the pioneers in the professional coach industry and the founder is on the board of the International Coach Federation which regulates the industry. You can find it at www.lifecoachtraining.com

good luck.

best place to learn, to work??? pay???

Hello. For 3 years I have been a consultant at Jenny Craig, where I am unofficially called "the therapist" by my clients, co-workers, and each of the rotating supervisors I've worked with/under. Have done training at Center for Motivation and Change and Albert Ellis Institute and am constantly looking for training, outside of my own reading and research, that someone with only a BA (as opposed to MA) in Psychology might have access to.

I am a single woman, 40's, that presents as warm and intelligent, and that must support herself financially. At the moment, I live in NYC.

Analysis, strategy, motivation, and working with people from all walks of life are my strengths. And dedication.

So...

I am reaching out to ask those that are very experienced, where is the very best place to work or get trained?

Or, what other thoughts or recommendations do you have for me?

Perhaps you know someone, or an organization or a practice, that might be willing to communicate with me...

Very much in need of knowledgeable help/guidance.

I

Wellness Coaching from a Distance

Most people don't realize how easy it is to have access to a Wellness Coach. Some people never make the effort to work with a Wellness Coach because it adds yet another "thing" for them to make time for.

I offer my clients the freedom and flexibility of email and phone coaching. A typical session will take place over the phone for about an hour, once a week. Unlimited email correspondence is then offered between call sessions. This has worked incredibly well for the busy parents and professionals who are limited with time but still want to make a difference in their lives.

An idea who's time has come

I have been a wellness coach for my program Healthy Solutions for ten years.I started it when I realized that I could explain to people and even show people how to exercise and what to eat and it made little difference. Provocative, ongoing dialogue around habits, beliefs and emotional issues is the missing peice for most.

What is Wellness Coaching?

Wellness coaching is a powerful relationship between a client and coach which explores the client’s greatest health concerns and goals, the obstacles to achieving those goals, and strategies to overcome the obstacles. Wellness coaching will empower you to make lasting changes that significantly can impact your health and well-being. Most individuals know exactly what they need to do to improve their health, whether it be losing weight, reducing stress, exercising, or following physician recommendations. However, actually following through and taking action, or maintaining action for a lifetime, is an ongoing struggle for many people.

I created www.EnerGcoaching.com to help people who are struggling with issues such as weight loss, stress management, getting in shape and other health related problems that can be affected by lifestyle changes. I energize my clients so they can kick the ineffective quick fixes and instead work toward achieving their optimum level of wellness for the long-term. I passionately believe that every aspect of life improves when you are functioning with peak emotional and physical energy and health.

I Understand the Challenges Most People Face

I have a variety of coaching plans available for you to choose from.

Choose the plan that's right for you!

Becoming a wellness coach

Wellness coaching is a great job - not only sitting and talking on the phone all day. Many corporations mix it with classes and meet with people face to face.

i wrote an article on wellness coaching that gives anyone interested a broad perspective of what it looks like...

I actually just got a job interview at a healthcare insurer

Are these jobs bad news? I'm burnout from personal training, well at least for now. I had second thoughts when applying for this job. I don't know if I can sit on my ass all day and talk on the phone.
