Works For Me

I've been using it for several months now over a 3Mbps Cable pipe and it works great. I sit on hours long conference calls and it works flawlessly. I had a bit of problems with the IVR systems but, after the software upgrade it's working fine. My suggestions would to NOT use the doggle that comes with it and to use it with a hard wired connection. I get some echos over wireless from time to time but, it still works. I have had no real problems since I stopped using the dongle.

All and all, it's a great product for $20 a year.

Mr. Truch

I been using it for a month and is working OK, you need a fast internet connection, if you don't or you doing a lots of downloads or uploads you have problems with sound

Magicjack off

This product is a waste of time. I spent more time trying to get this instrument to reboot. It only works for a little while. Do not buy this product! I plan to return it and get my money back for the 5 year plan I stuoidly purcased.

Magic Jack failed me

I tried the magic jack for the 30 day trial period and for the first three days it worked fine...but after that I had a lot of trouble with it. I ended up sending it back after about six or seven days. I also had purchased the 5 year service plan. That was a big mistake. I have no magic jack so I have no need for the 5 year plan. I tried to get my money refunded for the plan, which was $59.95. I was told I could not get any of it back. I've lost money shipping it back and money for a plan I can not use. I feel like I was jilted out of my money in trying this product. I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else out there.

Magic Junk

I spent FOUR hours trying to install this POS on my computer. The technical staff were all as helpful as they could be. However, I believe they all had the same script in front of them, and followed it to the letter. Each was friendly, but when we got to the same point during the installation process, each one in turn had to pass the call on to someone else. Four HOURS later, after removing firewalls and letting the technician take control of my computer, the same conclusion was reached...they could not install Magic Jack onto my computer. This is not an old, cheap, broken down computer. It is new, has all the bells and whistles, and has scarcely been used for more than emailing our kids. Four WASTED hours. Sitting here for four FRUSTRATING, butt-numbing hours. I'm returning it to the store in the morning. I would have emailed the company to complain, but was unable to locate an email address (or street address) to write to the company's "customer service" department. Jeez. Save your money. Thirty-nine dollars and ninety-nine cents worth of frigging aggravation. I could have laid down in the middle of the expressway and had a more enjoyable evening.

Magic Jack is ok for me

I just want a local number for my home in North Carolina, I use my cell mainly, and do not see the need for a landline as in my other properties in Florida.

It works, it is clear, and the pop up is not annoying. And the voicemail is cool to set up forwarding to my email account, which I can then listen to directly on my iPhone within minutes.

Bandwith makes a big difference

I've used my MagicJack for about a year and 6 mo. now. I was on the lowest plan for AT&T's DSL and had to admit the sound quality was a little spotty. About 2 Mo. ago, we got the next package up that 'doubled the speed' for $5 more and noticed as an added benefit that the MagicJack now works GREAT! I live in California and had to make a call to Provo, UT and to Orlando, FL. While debating on using the cell or the land line, why not make them free on the MagicJack. I also use a 'corded' phone with it to enhance the quality as well. Great quality and I probably paid for 5 years of phone service through the MagicJack on just those 2 phone calls alone. Great Product!
