Blackberry Curve

Then along came the Curve with GPS, I fell in love with this thing. Nice shape kind of sexy. Can see the screen during the day and even hear the caller on the phone. Checking email and calander is very important to me. There had been the rare glich, like software freezing up or phone turning off. Would like to see faster browser, much faster. Put the dam memory card in the side of unit like LG does so you can get to it without doing surgery. GPS/TeleNav has saved my butt a couple times. Like someone said above larger fonts would be cool and larger or slide out full size keyboard.

Thanks RIM for a great product keep up the good work, we love inovation and security.

Blackberry & Vanity Number

The easiest thing to do if you own a blackberry and require to dial vanity numbers is to install QWERTYConvert on your phone.

Its available for sale on Handango or simply type QWERTYConvert on google.

Blackberry Pearl

I own a Blackberry Pearl and contrary to older beliefs that I would have reception problems for the phone in rural areas and certain spots, I have yet to find any dead zones anywhere I have been so far. This little gem is indeed a pearl in my opinion, because it handles I need from it and more. I'm a happy camper. I switched from Verizon because I had reception problems with my fancy 8300 from Verizon. I had moved into an apartment bldg. about 30 years old and I was constantly dropping calls or getting every third word my party spoke. I contacted the tech. dept. and explained my frustrations and the answer was that the older bldgs. had more metallic material mixed into the drywall and it was I were trying to communicate from inside a tin can. My Blackberry Pearl? NO PROBLEM. It is my pal and I love mine.

IPhone/ iTouch is sexier

I have a blackberry Pearl. I do LOVE the WAP Push email--which is almost exclusive to RIM I hear. The calendaring and the camera apps are great. Plus, the Yahoo! Go GPS, Weather widget and OneSearch are amazing! However, Pearl is not without many problems. The trackball (needed for scrolling) malfunctioned about 10 months after I purchased it. It will not load Flash! It hates frames. It is incredibly inefficient at loading some scripts--unfortunately you won't be able to tell unless you visit a problem website and subsequently generate the hourglass from hell, which will require your having to remove the battery from the unit to get it to stop! Forget about loading a bunch of photos on there. It will slow down your unit--I wouldn't dream of running other media on the Pearl. If you have long fingers or long fingernails, The QWERTY keyboard can be a bother sometimes. The keys are so small. It would be nice to have a unit with a touch screen built in WITH the keyboard so you have a few options. One last problem...Try dialing a vanity number with the Pearl. You'll come up with the wrong number each and every time. There are two numbers assigned to each key, rather than three on standard phones.

I phone is SO much easier to handle. though it would help to have a QWERTY keyboard for more flexibility. It loads actual webpages, so the frames issue is nil. Not sure about flash. But, with macs constant upgrades, I have no doubt that iPhone will get you more bang for your buck in the long run.

All I want is a plain old GI phone without

blackberry pearl

the blackberry pearl is the greatest machine of 21st century

Blackberry ...

RIM has created a winner in the Blackberry Pearl and maybe other models, because the machine is so stable. Somehow AT&T stood up and has met RIM's standards of reliability. I've tried all of the other PDAs and none is anywhere near as stable and satisfying.

However, the new iPhone is looking really sexy. Look out RIM, I may have to try one.
