Windows or Mac OS? You Don't Have to Choose

You don't have to choose....

You seem to have forgotten a choice - linux.

VMware runs on linux. In fact, linux is at the heart of VMware's virtualization products. A variant is at the heart of Macs these days.

Linux is free, open source, easy to install and use, and doesn't require constant rebooting. You can make it anything from command line to even prettier than a Mac. You also don't require Linus Torvalds' permission to install programs or content on it, unlike Macs (Jobs) or Windows (Ballmer).

It runs well on older hardware that the others can't touch. It has equivalents of most popular programs. Did I mention it's free?
