Here's the article link: http://finance.yahoo.com/banking-budgeting/article/106804/10-Winners-in-the-Recession

I'd say its perfect timing for me to be involved from home a coffee business that does deliver brewed gourmet coffees to customer's door for me...all I do is share the coffee and direct people to my website...very easy and duplicatable...

It can be perfect timing for you too...coffee is the world's second traded consumable commodity next to oil!

You can purchase rights to distribute E-books on all the above topics; or any other subject that is Googled a lot -- for under $50 easily. Buy 1 to make sure it's high quality.

best small businesses to start

As a bilingual career coach, I have personally helped individuals with their full-time and part-time businesses.

Amongst the list given, certainly these are recession procf and have strong prospects:

-financial advisor-more than ever, an in demand service

-personal trainer (one can charge virtually anything, although in the US, the occupation sppears somewhat regulated, unlike Canada)

-anything in utilities remains strong, especially energy

-home health is obviously strong because of the aging population and boomers

-tutor ie languages; the Spanish demographic is exploding in the US, according to the latest cencus

-career coaches-a recession-proof business. Just ask Marcia Bench, founder of careercoachinstitute.com

Then there's the other alternative-Seth Godin's blog (who buy the way has a quarter of a million readers and blogs daily)

Stop job searching. Do something!

For example, I saw a neat segment on the Today show this week-end: a dessert truck!

To your success.

Another answer for some, which is 3 feet in front of you

There's lots of good business ideas listed, and I'm sure health care, for one will be big as you mentioned.

Here's another possibility. Since so many are talking about being more creative during this economic slump, why not think outside the box a bit? Here's what I mean.

It's amazing that there are plenty of skill sets that are for whatever reason not "conventional" enough to be taught in schools, but the mastery of which would lead to more autonomy.

Most of us are trained to be employees- nothing wrong with that, but thinking that way can be a kind of tunnel vision that keeps many from learning skills that would allow them to carve out their own path to income and contribution.

One of them is as close as the computer in front of you. No really, for the first time in history, we are 3 feet in front of the world, yet few learn how to use it in a way to render 1) value to others and 2)income for themselves.

There ARE ways to learn this stuff, if you can avoid all the junk and find good and reputable sources. The great thing about it is the very process of learning how to market or gain customers through online means can help virtually ANY business as well.

A Stor N Lok business is the best type to Start.....

Right now I'm on the working of building my own Stor N Lok company to make some money. Storage is one thing that will always be needed at some time or another. With that, the number of rooms you put into this business and which sizes can be started slowly. This town I'm in today and trying to get this started. I have plans to build 20 rooms of each the following size rooms. 20> 10 by 15 rooms 20> 10 by 10 rooms & 20> 5 by 10 rooms. A Storage Business is easier to maintain then most businesses.
