Leap of faith

I have been in the retail sector for twenty eight years. I have been a General Manager of several large retail companies, a General Service Manager of a Motor Cylce Dealership, a District Consulting Manager for MSXI/Ford, and heavily involved in the Automotive Service Industry. I would like to start my own business in the Wichita area. I am looking for some risk takers to talk with about my ideas. If you are interested please contact me.

Response to "Hello could you help me out"

Your looking to create an internet cafe? First problem is that you didn't know what they were called. It's likely a problem because not being familiar with the business means you will need significant help getting the business going. If you have all the technical background to set the business up and operate it yourself then great, but if you have to pay someone to do the basics for you, then you better have some cash or be willing to partner with someone.

You might try looking at a business near by like a restaurant that would be willing to cross as the internet cafe, you set up the internet stuff and they have the location. Charge a little and see what happen.

Best Time To Start New Business

Starting a new business venture right now can be a very smart move IF you develop an idea that provides a product or service that will support where business society is headed. Let's face it, many of the millions of people that were recently left unemployed will not be going back to their jobs - or working for someone else. Many will try their hand at being an entrepreneur. So the best shot at having success will be developing a product or service that supports many of these new entrepreneurs.

electronic service and repair

I think a service shop for TVs and electric equipment would work now since money for new TVs and electronic equip. is hard to come by..Quality service for a reasonable price...

Investing??

What about real estate investing?? I know the economy is on the rocks, however a point to make is that people who don't invest smart will not be successful regardless of the economic situation. I can't say that I have made a huge amount of profit in this area but it HAS helped...that is enough for me. Mike Kaufman brings up a great point.. there are tons of information out there to help small business..I recommend doing extensive research before even getting your feet wet in anything! In my case, I read. One of the most exciting books I loved is Rick Vazquez's "The Pizza Delivery Millionaire." It's an entertaining piece of work and fits anyone who wants to become financially independent, regardless of their level of education or professional background.

Starting a home health care services for all ages that is 1month-100 years old

To whom it may concern,

My name is Olusola Ajayi and I live in Chicago illinois. I just recently graduated from Devry University with a Bachelor of science degree in business administration: Concentration-Health Services Management.I have been working as a Certified nursing Assistant for 13 years and I am ready for a change in my life and also I am willing to help all ages that may need help at home to get better or recover from their illnesses. I am a very hard-working individual, full of compassion especially for the geriatric clients, I believe in giving care where it is most needed with all that is in me.I grew up in Nigeria and I experienced a lot of things but the one that really got my attention is the fact that people are dying from all sickness due to lack of care from health care workers and it just breaks my heart and that is why I decide that I want to have my own business(Sole Proprietor), hire the right canditates or health care workers such as the Personal Assistant with a pay of at least $10 Per hour, Certified Nursing Assistant @ $11 Per hour, LPN at $12.00 Per hour and RN at $15 Per hour. I belive in doing to others as you want others to do unto you and that is why am calling the name of the business "God's Angels Caring for all". I named the business this due to the fact that I consider all healthcare workers as angels because they could have picked another profession to go into but they choose to help the sick and shut in the comfort of their homes. I have questions regarding this business:

1. How many employees do I need to start this small business?

2. Do I give all employees both full-time and pat-time workers all necessary health insurance/

3. I know it is going to be a government funded business, however, my question is do I pay the workers directly or the states pay them?

4. How many case workers, registered, nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nurses assistants and personal aide do I need for 100 clients?

5. How I do I choose the right location for my business in other to be above my competitors?

6. What can I do to make my business different from other agencies?

7. I will like to start this business by early march, do you have any suggestions?

Franchiser Over-Rated-Comment

I currently own a Senior Helpers franchise and I am very pleased with our position in 3 years. Why a franchise?

1. Training-Yes, you can get training on your own but if you are starting a business, it is key that you get it up and running as quickly as possible. They lay the ground work and we opened in less than 2 months for business.

2. Tech support-Yes you can get it elsewhere or figure it out. Lets call it moral support and encouragement.

3. A marketing plan- It's your business and you have latitude. They just give you ideas

4. A proven concept. Yes there are others but is good to have others doing the same thing to talk to.

5. Financing-If you don't have the dough to start up and run for at least 1.5 years, keep working for someone else until you do. The number one reason for small business failure is lack of money.

6. A Brand-Yep, you can create one so design your own website, brochures, hiring packages, legal documents, and agreement forms.

Again, expensive and time consuming. It is better to jump in and start making money.

I don't like royalty payments either but ours are only 5% and in my opinion money well spent. Franchises aren't for everyone but if you want something more turn key, it can be a good way to go. Take your time and pick the right one.

THINK ABOUT STORAGE COMPANY

My plan is starup a STORAGE COMPANY. The more things people are buting and putting in their home. Think about it now today. Thanksgiving Sale! Christmas Holidays Gifts! How much more will have been brought in from the 2008 year. You've gained so much in one year but haven't got all that room for it. Needing to put some things away and aside from the past but don't have that place to put it. NOW! Whoever you are that just read this, that was you. Put yourself in a local town or again in a sub area around Ft Worth/Dallas TX. and you have 2000 people living around you daily. Do you think a Storage Company would succeed if it got started at one point in that 1 area after a 5 year period time. That is one reason why I see this company as a great move. Look over on Yahoo.com (jes21stornlok.com). It will tell you more and all my plans an what it can do.

This can be done from home, with lots of support from organizations such as Career Directors International, or the National Resume Writers Association.
