About

In my opinion is all our fault because we elect people that studied political science, or public administration. What I mean is what makes you think that they know about this economic trouble?.We should begin to elect people that have majors in Finance, Economics, or even if we elect engineers, at least they are very good in math. By the way Im not saying that all people that studied political science, or public administration are bad in economics or math. But the country is facing an economic trouble, so who are most likely to solve this problem in a much better and faster way?.

STIMULUS IS STIMULUS

There never has been a perfect budget of anytype, particularly government spending - which only tends to consistently exceed budget. One of the purpose of the stimulus package is to stimulate the economy on all levels by creating jobs... and as long as some of these apparently silly projects creat jobs and improves the economy, it's a price we have to pay for now. In the long haul, government needs to do a much better job vetting out pork barrel projects designed to ensure the re-election of encumbents... but that's political suicide, so whose going to spearhead that idea? Some apparent pork projects are actually beneficially if the fat content is trimmed and we get more meat.

Earmarks

Ok i agree/disagree with alot of the earmarks, but some of these are rediculous. I agree with the conservation of the honey bees, and the extermination of the morman crickets i agree with too. But GREEN GOLF CARTS? My GOD! That should be a factory job, where Obama mandates factorys to do recalls on all inefficient vehicles, and they take care of it. He should not be including it in the stimulus package. Simple as that

Good luck

Well, I for one have quit paying my taxes. I will continue to not pay my taxes untill my government can show that they are capable of managing it. I am perfectly capable of spending my hard earned money myself.

"...$150 million for parking improvements at a Little League facility in Cidra, Puerto Rico..."

Please, please tell me that was a typo. $150 million would build new parking facilities for a couple of NFL stadiums.

Stimulus???

"I'm not as outraged by this considering a good portion of this "pork" does put people to work and has a positive effect on the environment. The republican spending spree created thousands of dead, injured, and mentally and emotionally ill American Soldiers fighting an enemy that never attacked us. Let us also remember the "collateral" damage created in our wake. Perhaps this is God's not-so-subtle way of reminding the U.S. of it's real mission. Next time Christian republicans attend their local church services, they should actually listen to the sermons being given."

A summary regarding this comment:

If you give a drunk $10 to buy a meal and he spends it on more booze, helping keep a liqour store clerk employed, does that make it a good choice?

If you had a meth lab in a home in your neighborhood, would you be mad at the police for tearing the place apart to shut it down?

If Bill Clinton had been pro active about terrorism and gone after them before more happened after the first trade center attack, the uss cole attack, etc. would you be upset then? Or were you fine with him cutting back on the military while the terrorist training was going on under his nose (which was blocked from his view by a cigar he and Monica L. were sharing)?

If your church pastor said abortion was a bad thing, would you still be telling us Christian Republicans that WE should be listening to the sermon, or would you be telling Obama to listen to the sermon?

I'm not going to bash Democrats as a whole, such as you are Christian Republicans, because there are plenty that are great people with great intentions. But before you start generalizing and bashing us, consider your perspective if your mom felt too selfish to have a child and you were just another abortion. Oops that just sounded like more Christian Republican rambling huh?

America Wake Up!

How many people exactly does the train connecting Vegas and California put to work? And there is NO SUCH THING as clean coal!!!! OMG...they are cutting the mountain tops off in KY and WV for that safe clean coal!!! What kind of enviromental affect?...well lets see...you cannot grow the top of a mountain back...it rolls down into the streams and pollutes the fish and surrounding citizens...and furthermore...One guy on a heavy piece of equipment took the jobs of several coal miners! Coal...the other form of Oil. We need to become independent and seek alternative energy sources. We have the technology-no excuses!!!

The last time I checked, Our military is still VOLUNTEER. If you do not want to protect and serve this country...don't join the military! We should have went into IRAQ during the Clinton Administration...that I belive...it was belated. A terrorist is a terrorist...did anybody really listen to George W's speach to the nation after 911???? Furthermore, in the beginning...there was a vote of how many troops to send...we sent them in short handed...that is why there were so many losses to begin with. Also, why the surge worked...it should have been a surge in the beginning!!! AND NOW we are giving $900m for rebuilding GAZA-ruled by...terrorist-HAMAS??? Are they kidding? We really need to complain to our congress and protest that one!!! I am embarrased of the blind eyes Americans are turning to the injustifiable use of our tax money everyday!!!!

Yes, I too work and struggle evey month to pay the bills and yes...the legislation for lending is the culprit who left us all vunerable...NO GOOD CAN COME FROM GREED! But we can change it...If you paid attention to the last two presidential elections-1 Vote can make a difference AND so can one voice!!!!
