Sacrifice

Mr. Santelli should get off the stock floor and visit with the folks in Wilmington who got laid off from DHL. Are they irresponsible?

If Santelli wants to point fingers, he should be looking at mortgage writers, irresponsible S &Ls like WaMu, and Securities firms who gambled away our economy. And I don't want to hear that Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae forced these industries to take on these unmitigated risks, because for every bank that is failing there are 2 who are thriving or surviving. Mr. Santelli is symbolic of a business industry failing to take any responsibility here.

Yes, individuals are at fault too. Countless people took on loans they cannot afford. But so did banks, insurance companies, and securities firms who bought and sold this bad debt.

Keeping a family in their home is perhaps the best way we can stimulate our economy. Banks can continue to receive payments and individuals can continue to build equity. Tax revenues can continue to flow. Housing prices can stabilize quicker and communities can remain intact. Its time to put politics aside and make some sacrifices in order to resuscitate this economy.

Listen to the guy who caused it

Instead of the one who wants to fix it.. Now that really makes a lot of sense to me.

Geeze people get a grip. Just because some idiot can get his face on TeeVee and scream and yell about something he knows nothing about, and then later ADMIT he knows not what he is talking about, and that makes him a hero to you??

Anyone can scream and yell on TeeVee. Anyone can talk about something they know nothing about.

Read and learn about the housing plan before you condemn it. It is a good plan if you are having trouble with your mortgage. If you were a speculator, tough... It is probably not going to help you. If you are a house flipper... it is not going to help you.. if you have worked hard and are in trouble because you have lost your job, then you have a chance to save your house.

Give it a rest people.. learn something instead of just seeing that shiny object screaming on the TeeVee and reaching for it.

Santelli for Senate 2009; President 2012

Santelli for Senate.....I like the sound of it-I'm thinking of the hopefully soon to be announced special election to fill Roland Burris’s seat. Finally, someone calls this bill as it is! This bill will not help EVERYONE out-as the White House is currently trying to spin it. First off, nevermind the fact that we are being asked to use tax dollars to pay for those who have bought too much house. More importantly, this bill will allow bankruptcy judges to rewrite mortgage contracts, which will make rates rise for ALL people as they apply for mortgages in the future (unless you happen to be in congress and know the CEO of a mortgage lending institution). Banks and investors will need to be compensated for the risk that they won't see their money returned. So not only will the majority of people have their hard-earned tax dollars pay for someone else to stay in their home for another 6 months, the next mortgage that the American people apply for will have a higher interest rate-great bill!

Obama spits in the face of America

Tell me again how Obama is going to distinguish between scumbags who lied to get mortgages they couldn't afford and those who were honest and conservative in their choice of house? Oh yeah, only the first group will be applying for the Obama bailout of losers. Obama's plan is a slap in the face to American's who pay their mortgages on time and play by the rule. So much for fairness. Everyone who works and pays taxes should just do less, work less, pay less taxes as a protest. let's take back America anyway we can.
