My son bought his wife a splendid big diamond for the wedding at SAM'S CLUB----15 years ago. Who on earth in middle America would go to Zale's.

Things were "gilded" for some in the "gilded age" too. That's why they called it that.
I wonder if there are any Zale shoppers who also buy Zale stock---and vice versa---or whether that's mostly segregated like officers and enlisted personnel. Just a musing.
