How Bobby Jindal (or You) Can Recover

jinal speech

I live in Louisiana and can honestly say, it surprised me. Maybe he was talked into this

type of approach by someone who convinced him that his usual, casual speech style wasn't

suitable for the momentous occasion. He really is a great guy who thinks on his feet and

usually delivers a no nonsense message that gets the point across well. He does have a tendency to talk a little fast. If he had delivered the same speech at a podium or

something, in shirtsleeves, slacks, no tie, in his usual manner it would have come across

alot better. It would have been better to deliver his speech a couple of days after

Obama's speech. This was like a first year cello student having his recital immediately after

a Yoyo Mah concert, on the same stage.

Piyush Jindal

Jindal claims he is a natural born citizen, but Louisiana refuses to release his birth certificate.

Bobby Jindal, Sacrificial Lamb

Whomever decided that Jindal should follow Obama's brilliant oration must be deaf, dumb and blind. Or, if all their senses are in tact, they must be from another planet. Anyone should have seen that disaster coming. I was embarrassed for the guy and for the State of Louisiana. I just wanted it to stop!! It was absolutely vacuous and torturous. Didn't the Republicans hear Obama clearly state that (going forward) the U.S. does not torture?

One question: How did this man get elected as governor? Was he the only candidate? Or did he have a voiceover.

He's also a LIAR

You just can't make this stuff up, can you?

The "outsourced" comment

The "outsourced" comment is blatantly racist. Jindal was born in the United States. What do people of Indian origin born in the US have to do to avoid comments like this - bleach their faces white ? Its a deplorable choice of words, pure racial sterotyping.

the Jindal speech

To me, the funniest comment of the day, and of the whole

political season, was when someone said the Republicans have

apparently "outsourced" their response speech.

Lame Advice

Geez, what a stupid article.

This Jindal guy is done - he has no ideas, these idiots think government is the problem, they are the problem - not government.

They didn't have a problem with government after 911.

Gov. Jindal

He represents the only state in the US that added jobs in december instead of unemployment, a state with a budget surplus of 10's of billions of dollars. Obama attacked president Bush for not doing enough for Katrina's victims and in his 787 billion dollar stimulus package there is not one cent for the recovery of the gulf nor is there one cent in his budget plan. He broke his promise quickly to help us.

Jindal and the crisis of sarcasm

Obama's speech was brilliant in context and delivery. Jindal's task was intimidating to say the very least. He avoided the hyperbolic sarcasm that has come to characterise discourse in this country over the last decade. Liberal and Conservatives have begun to sound more like Sports radio talk shows instead of reasonable people with different points of view. Assume that no one is beneath contempt. Assume that everyone has a reasonable opinion and they have reasons that validate that opinion. If we cannot free ourselves from this hateful way of talking to and about one another it is inconceivable that we will be able to deal with the madness and mayhem that are sweeping across the globe. We are one people and this is one planet.
