Librarians' New Job Title: Career Counselor

libraries

I'm glad publications like U.S. News promote the benefits of using libraries. We (librarians) tell people all the time how great libraries are, but few listen. Too bad it takes a near-Depression to get the word out. But thanks. As far as programs we offer: creating a better resume; basic spreadsheets with Excel; how to upload attachments; online job searching; creating a simple presentation with PowerPoint; basic word processing; mouse practice;... and they're all free. cheers.

New book for free for libraries

Hey, my company JOBDIG and LINKUP is making our new book DIG YOUR JOB (pdf $10 available at www.digyourjob.com) FREE for all requesting libraries. Just announced this yesterday so there is no reason why your library cannot provide you with at least one resource.
