I was just glad to hear that Karen Burns was fired before all this went down.

No body deserved to be fired more than here. She was a nasty little fat pickled Irish skank who treated people like dirt. karen if you're out there I hope you're selling shoes at Sears to people with smelly feet. That's what you deserve baby. Go choke on it

110 hours at 200 an hour that's 22,000 a week or 1,056,000 a year. At 25, even with an JD/MBA from Harvard, I doubt you'll be making that much. Great! A Merrill IB that added one zero too many.

Bonus

My wife is one of the peeps at merrill. She got a bonus this year. Her department receive there bonus based on production. She handles incoming calls from other merril employees. She is the top performer in her department. Answering more calls then any one else in her department last year, inspite of the fact she was pregnant and had to take a month of work after the baby was born. She works very hard at her job and only makes about 35k a year before taxes. She got a $1000 for last year as a bonus, and did not get a raise. She played no role in merril lynch losing any money, all she did was work her butt off. Im sorry but some people deserve a bonus even if trhe fat cats at the top dont get theres!

bonus

I work for Merrill Lynch and deserve my bonus, with my bonus working 110 hours I barely make 200 an hour, which seems like alot of money but at age 25 with a harvard degree that not much money.

Peter Krauss

I don't see why when Merrill Lynch is being bailed out by the Federal Govt that either employees being laid off or employees retaining their jobs should receive a bonus. They should have to give all bonuses back. When Merrill Lynch had a 93 billion dollar loss, obviously no one earned any bonuses at that company whatsoever.

Meanwhile Peter Krauss, Merrill's global strategy guy, gets as much as $25 million for an 'exit bonus' when he leaves Merrill. Most of the other 10,000 job layoffs won't be nearly as lucky.
