Obama and McCain on Jobs

Back to blog

Can either feel your pain?

Both of these men already have jobs and are just looking to move up the political ladder to a more powerful job.

Despite the rhetoric, they cannot understand what it's like to be qualified for a job that no longer exists.

Their best advice is for such people (by the tens of thousands in a former manufacturing area like Michigan) go ye, and retrain for some other job that may exist somewhere, sometime, somehow.

Unemployment issues

I am very undecisive in this election. Obama seems to have an interest in the middle class which is the majority of Americans. Extending unemployment certainly would assist in providing families with financial situations.

My questions is: If McCain wants to overhaul employment insurance by implementing a retraining program, a retraining program for what? There are no jobs in Michigan to retrain for. This option does not make sense. We need to create jobs by bringing in new resources to rebuild Michigan economy and stop sending American jobs over seas!
