Tactful advice on asking for a raise?

I've been at my job for over a year and feel like I should ask for a raise but I'm not sure how to go about it. Anyone have any good books or anything to help?

The most interesting thing about this issues is that this post indicates you percieve multitasking to be a strength that would improve your work flow. I think that so many of us are share that perception, but research and experts seem to indicate that multitasking is not all it's cut out to be. It reminds me of a post I wrote last year - and the interesting debate that followed - at Employee Evolution. On multitasking vs. time management. You can find it here:

Curious your thoughts!

I shouldn't be writing this comment because it's not on my "to do" list. But I appreciate the bits of wisdom. You aren't alone, Liz.

How to Move On After a Bad Day

Liz,

Thanks for including my post. In today's world, where we're told that we can have everything and we can do everything, it's tough not to turn into a quantity junkie - that is, if a little bit is good, more is even better! I have to focus on bringing quality to my life, especially with all the distractions our days provide.
