Builders Want More Home Buyer Tax Incentives

An economy built on quicksand

Just as a house built on quicksand cannot stand, an economy built on an industry (home building, real estate, toxic loans), will come down too. Now we're all paying a high price for the fraud and greed of these industries, when it was entirely preventable. Warnings were issued by econmists, consuemr groups, the FBI, and even bloggers, years ago. Our govt chose instead to ignore even the FBI and just keep pushing housing and no down loans, etc. It's obscene that congress even gives these builders and others the time of day. As the other person noted, the builders want the rest of us to pay for housing for others. Instead of, perhaps, pricing houses to reflect reality given that incomes have not really gone up and for many of us are going down. I'm so sickened by the industry spin being packaged as news I could hurl. Time for the media to expose this industry and stop worrying about loss of their advertising dollars. IN a few years if this industry is allowed to keep trashing the country, there won't BE any advertising dollars.

Hey, I want to stimulate the economy

but listening to builders who want YOU to pay more for their product (for other people) is nuts.
