No Lenders are Taking Advantage of This

I've been working several different client's 2nd Liens, and I've yet to have a lender take advantage of the extinguishment program. It is unfortunate that these lenders cannot see the boon in a 1-time lump sum payment from the government of up to 12%. That, along with the losses they'll get to write down should make for a great deal.

It's really sad that these lenders want to try to enforce what amounts to an unsecured lien on properties whose values were artificially inflated by the banks themselves, and now are worth a fraction of what they were when those loans were "given."

REFINANCE DENIED

I attempted to obtain refinancing through the Obama assistance program and was denied by Chase Home Finance. I had too much equity. In essence, if I lose my house the bank gets it and won't lose money on the resale. So I am going to get screwed. Certainly the bank does not care about me but I am the one who bailed them out. What a pile of crap!
