Rep. John Conyers: 'Cram Downs' are Much-Needed, Fair

How is this going to help someone like me that did not buy a home that I could not afford in the hopes of flipping the real estate for a big profit? I purchased a home with a mortgage that I could afford. Why should I not get a bail-out by reducing my mortgage like the cram-downs you are proposing?

Name mis-applied

The real "cram-down" (our throats) is that we didn't already have this provision decades ago. It might have averted or at least mitigated this whole home price bubble and foreclosure crisis.
