Well finally! I have heard on TV several "financial experts" say that 20% down is required. How in the world can they not be aware of FHA requirements? I find that extremely troublesome and wouldn't have believed it if I had not heard them myself. As a professional Realtor, I just began working with 2 young couple who thought they couldn't begin to buy due to the media even though they have excellent credit & a very good debt to income ratio. How many other people do not realize they can buy? Either these "experts" are extremely stupid or are getting paid a lot of money to talk about something that they simply do not know enough about.
