Foreclosures a Boon to Marijuana Farmers

By Luke Mullins

While the national foreclosure crisis has destroyed families, shattered neighborhoods, and contributed to the untimely death of at least one Chihuahua (at the hands of bloodthirsty bees), it may well have been a boon for your local marijuana producer.

Last month, we learned of a California man who was arrested on suspicion of using his foreclosed home as a pot farm. Now, the loco weed was reportedly found growing at a foreclosed home in Florida, too.

From NBC2, in Fort Myers, Fla.:

A vacant house in Lehigh Acres may look like just another foreclosed home, but deputies actually found out it was a 'budding' business.

Deputies removed around 100 marijuana plants from the home....Deputies say it's one of two new scenarios: a grow house operator with no intent of ever paying the mortgage, or someone simply noticed that the house was empty and set up shop.

Apparently, the foreclosure farm approach even helps drug producers evade police.

From NBC2:

No arrests were made, as no one was living in the home. The listed owners live outside Miami in Hialeah.

Blowing Money They Don't Have

Morning headlines: "High gas prices hobble cities nationwide"

Now they're bellyaching about not having money they need to run public services!

Compromising our public safety, "The El Paso County Sheriff's Department in southeastern Colorado has ENDED car patrols of its 2,000-square-mile jurisdiction. One Ohio sheriff is putting his deputies into GOLF CARTS."

Great, the gov't blows a TRILLION DOLLARS on their war on drug disorder then does NOT have money for public safety so they have sheriffs riding around in GOLF CARTS!

Bush is sending $1.5 BILLION to Mexico to "fight drug cartels" who make a TRILLION tax free dollars every year. Instead of giving the $1.5bln to OUR police so they DON'T have to ride around in GOLF CARTS to go after criminals.

"In California, lawmakers are struggling to close a $15.2-billion deficit."

Is it any wonder why they have a $15.2-billion deficit when they blow BILLIONS to have "law enforcement" stumble around in forests looking for naturally growing marijuana?

They should take the same money they blow on their "war on drug disorder" and pay the deficit! Maybe upgrade their police force OUT of GOLF CARTS - that would be a big improvement.

Maybe that way they would not have to use GOLF CARTS to chase rich gangs members.

What kind of MORONS run this country, anyway? They should all be FIRED.

It's OK to kill yourself - U.S. Gov't

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080701/ap_on_re_us/gun_deaths_suicide

The Supreme Court's landmark ruling on gun ownership last week OK'd continued gun ownership in the US.

But....... there were nearly 31,000 firearm DEATHS in 2005. Get this: 55 percent were suicides!

Marijuana killed ZERO people EVER.

Guns killed 31,000 people in 2005.

Yet, the gov't gives its blessing for people to possess guns legally and KILL themselves............ yet the gov't keeps marijuana illegal!

LMAO
