Foreclosure Rate Lower for Illegal Immigrants

Bigotry and racism aside

For the purposes of a healthy economy, we should not focus so much on who received the loan but rather that stricter standards for loaning money equals fewer foreclosures. PS the US Census came up with the same outcome as the Hispanic National Mortgage Association.

AMERICAN IGNORANCE!

These so called " Illegals" actually have EITN which are issued to them by the United States Government! They pay their taxes and their bills on time! Which is more than we can say for these Americans that refinanced their homes so they could buy a new boat, or Truck, or whatever else it was they really didn't need. Just because these immigrants choose to live with their families, doesn't make them bad people. Some families don't believe in simply putting their parents into a rest home or assisted living homes. They like to take care of their own! How many unemployed white Americans have you ever seen standing in front of a home depot looking for work????? Maybe the problem isn't only ignorance but also pride!

Just a quick of the facts - in California 75% of the homes in foreclosure the owner name is Hispanic. This one program may have a good record but in relation to the hugely larger body of Hispanic mortgages versus foreclosure rates the Hispanic community has been a very bad credit risk.

US News and Crap Report

This organization is biased first and forecmost. I can tell you that I am an appraiser who does a lot of foreclosure work for lenders. 95% and I mean 95% of every foreclusre I do is hispanic. I live in California, now hw many illeglas do you think live here in the first place. Around 5 million I'm told by the experts. How many got mortgages? A ton. I would bet my life on it. How many went into foreclosure? You just heard from me-the boots on the ground and I am just one appraiser amongst thousand doing foreclosures and again I would bet my life that a majority of their foreclosures are hispanics as well. This is far far above the total percentage of hispanics who reside here. I can tell you they use false names, false SS#s, stolen IDs and the Meixican Matricula card for ID which Mexico give sot their nationals living in foreign lands and which DOES NOT honor as valid ID for use in their own country.

Lies

They haven't looked at Providence, RI, New Bedford, Lawrence and Fall River, and Framingham, Massachusetts. I get the Providence's daily newspaper. There are pages and pages listing foreclosures by immigrants in Providence. These auction listings have been going on for at least 3 years. This newspaper's section page count rivals the sports section!!!! You cannot tell me that all of these immigrants are legally here! Stop the lies and distortions---it is killing us! WE can see it with our own eyes and I'm angry that we are going to bail out this foolishness!

Really?

Ask the Hispanic National Mortgage Association for the number of "illegals" that got those "no doc" subprime mortgages and then walked away from them!

Outrageous

Just one more reason for me to dream of living on the moon. How in the world does a person who got into this country illegally get a mortgage pray tell? Lord help us all, we have gone to hell in a handbasket.

Blair of TX @ Aug 10, 2008 23:59:32 PM

Bullcrap

If this is really true it could be because they live several families in one house, so you have more adults working to pay for a mortgage payment. We should lower our lifestyles to keep up with the illegals? And how do they get a mortgage when they are in this country illegally in the first place, when American's can't afford home. What's wrong with this picture?
