the bees

i would like to learn more of these kinds of bees. i am writing an research paper on the africanized bees and i would like to know every thing about these kinds of bees. For example how can we be prevent a africnized bee attack? or where do they tend to build thier bee hives and where do they most likely to sting? thank you for your time

Africanized Bees

It is not the nature of European honey bees to attack this severely unless the dog actually tried to demolisih the hive. However Africanized bees are spreading and they are extremely aggressive. I would be amazed if these are not Africanized bees. They will continue to attack for up to an hour and have chased people a quarter of a mile. They usually attack the face and eye first. Also unlike the benign European honey bee, they are immune to most pesticides so pesticides only annoy them and make them dangerous.

It is most important to educate the public that we desparately need honey bees. We are facing an agricultural disaster of massive size due to the dwindling bee population. Our war on insects has been most successful. There are few native bees left and very few pollinators. However there is now the rise of super pest such as the Africanized bees and the tiny ant now residing in Houston who are resistant to pesticides.

To survive we need to use common sense and find the natural predator of whatever bug is infesting a crop and encourage the predator's presence.
