The Bailout Bill: Who Voted For and Against It

The United States of America based its economic future on the principles of supply and demand. For over two centuries our nation has grown to be one of the worlds leading capitalistic endeavors. Throughout the history of America our dollar has fallen in value several times, the worst of which was the great depression.

Through corporate greed this conception of our forefathers has come to an abyss. With the constant bailouts, by our government and the short mindedness of the big thinkers of corporate America, I fear that this is only the beginning of the end of America, as we know.

Those big thinkers have throughout time passed, on many urgent decrees about innovation that have been left behind. Many corporations are scrambling to pickup on energy conservation technology. This should be the primary focus of the American society today.

If America can become independent of foreign oil, it is my strong belief that we as a nation can once again be solvent. We can pass on that heritage of independence for many generations. We've come from the horse and wagon age to the motorized vehicle age, and are nearing the horse and wagon age.

In the beginning all manner of commerce was centralized, and cities flourished, then commerce became accessible everywhere due to the automobile and oil. This diversity of commerce within the countryside is now threatened by the very nature of its transportation.

So is it time to put away for the winter? It’s always been a good idea to conserve and prepare for the future, but it's been a while since it seemed imperative that every American follows this path.

More important than the individual's response, is our leadership's. The bailout of 2008 of seven hundred billion dollars to corporate America was wrong. It may be helpful, but it would have been more prudent to put innovation at the top of the list.

The Capitalistic mindset of America is something that has been fought to keep alive. Now it seems that our own government has fallen into the arms of Socialism with President George Bush leading the way.

It may be inevitable that our past remain in the past, and that our future follow a communistic path, however as an American, with virtues rooted within our history, it is my hope that we as a nation can pull ourselves out of this demise.

Not by overpowering other nations, but by ourselves, through innovation and straightforward commerce. Where each day sees something new that will allow our country to be independent of the oil that ties us down.

Automobiles that are oil free, energy producers that are oil free. Yes, we have some oil here in America, but we will never have enough, if we don't aggressively take on this weighted stone.

My Bailout plan

I am just an ordinary citizen that knows very little about how the bailout bill should be handled. However I believe I know as much or more than any of the congressman or senators that voted yes, and that is scarry. I personally know people that have been auditated by the IRS and it has taken several months for the IRS to come to a conclusion. How can the politicians come to a conclusion in two weeks?

My plan is to vote against all senators and congressman that voted for this bailout bill. Congress and the senate needs to be cleaned out. As for president?

This "bailout "is a bunch of horse manure who "bails the average joe when his finances become over extended ? The people on wallstreet that screwed this thing up in the firstplace are the ones who should "PAY" So now all of us poor slobs who did nothing wrong in the first place end up paying for these jokers who get all these ridiculous salaries.

Taxpayer's/BAILOUT BILL

I hate the fact that our repersentives failed to understand that I am not a supporter of this BILL.

Our officials are sending the the wrong message to Wallstreet investors:(THEY CAN DO AS THEY PLEASE AND WE, THE TAXPAYERS WILL COVER THEIR "EMBEZZLEMENTS"). They voted in September, I will vote in November!

Bailout

This is something that was based on the greed of people in the industry seeking the bailout. It is something that should have been worked out.

I think the American taxpayer would have had an easier time swallowing the whole package if there would have been charges and fines brought against the greed mongers who put us in this mess. After fining them, they would be banned from working in finance for the rest of their careers. Instead, those who made tens and hundreds of millions raping the system will be handed the bail out money.

As I write this I have learned the pork laden package has been approved and awaits Bush to sign it. Once again, the tax payer will be paying for someone elses mistakes. This is one part of history that repeats itself all too often. Enron, S&L fiascos, sub prime melt downs, and the list goes on. We are heading toward a country of haves and have nots. The middle class will soon disappear and only then will the problems go away. With out the middle class to pick up the tab, who is going to $olve all the woes of the nation?

I hope everyone involved with the passing of this plan is voted out of office as soon as they are up for re election. This nation is in dire need of a 3rd or 4th viable party that looks out for ALL of its people.

Who Voted For & Aganist Bailout

O.K. Luke, Today is Friday Oct. 3rd and it's FINAL. Can you give an Update on who Voted For & Against the Bailout?

Also, I don't see in you Sept. 30 "who voter For it & Voted Against it" McCain and Obama's Vote. Also, Kay Baily Hutchinson, US Sentor Of TX, vote in tere. Maybe I missed it.

Will be WAITING for the FINAL Results of how each voted and Who did NOT Vote and could have.

By the way, I hear it's the 850 Billion bailout now, added Pork and Earmarks, meaning hands in the 'cookie jar'.
