Ron Paul: This Bailout Won't Be the Last

Economy

Unfortunately, there is more to the issue than Rep. Paul defines. I agree that we could and should allow some organizations to fail but we have a bigger concern, the world economy and consumer confidence. The bigger issue is not just addressing thy symptom but rather curing the illness. Congress created this mess by creating a false economy by requiring approval of loans to those who don't qualify. To protect them now is socialism!

Hyack was right

Hyack was right then. Hyack is right now. That is why he won the nobel prize. Central planning fails everytime and in the long run central planning makes things much worse.

Sage Wisdom

Ron Paul understands the mechanics of what has been going on for years. He is a threat to those who perpetrated this BS, Smoke & Mirrors economic policy fiasco. The perpetrators need to be dealt with in a manner that would preclude anyone in the future from considering the irresponsible behaviors and practices that have created this mess. The Bozo's take off with their golden parachutes, and leave Joe Taxpayer to clean up the mess. I object.

GET BACK TO BASICS.

Write in Ron Paul for President

Ron Paul has been right all along. It's criminal that he is not at the top of the ballot for the Republicans .

I am still going to write in his name for President.

Neither McCain or Obama has what it takes.

May God have mercy upon our nation.

Ron Paul Has Been Right For Years

Truth is an almost unfound commodity in D.C., but Ron Paul has been speaking the truth for many years. Oddly enough, his constituents seem to like what he has to say because he's been re-elected 6 times. Unfortunately, during the oresidential primary, the media marginalized him as being a "kook". Well, if anyone wishe to apologize, I'd say now is the perfect time. This will not be helped by either Obama or McCain as it is sytemic in the Congress to F--- the We The People. Watch this closely and see who does what. We'll want to make sure we hang the right guys later.

If there is a bailout -

If there is a bailout - every investment bank, Director, Executive, and CEO that had anything to do with this meltdown should be forced to keep all their investments and liquidity in US Dollars and in the US Market ONLY!!!

None of this pay me my bailout money in US Dollars and I'll move it over to the Euro or Yen (which is what they are planning).

Gordon Gekko lives on

Ron Paul continued to warn us but we the collective apathetic majority failed to take notice. When will we wake up and fight the corrupt establishment, the elites and the special interests and take this country back.

We continue to elect these simple minded, muppets to lead our country and then sit back and watch as they make deal after deal to sell out the middle class in this country to their rich country club friends.

Is anyone really surprised that the "greed is good" philosophies of Gordon Gekko lives on in the hearts and minds of Wall Street and in Washington DC.

Our countries collective silence and apathy has allowed this to happen once again.

The U.S. = France

We're no better than France is now. No, scratch that: at least in France, you get 30 days of vacation every year and a loaf of bread every day for your tax troubles. This bailout plan won't come near that sort of "benefit" for the responsible citizens that paid their mortgages on time, paid their taxes on time, paid their bills on time. All those diatribes launched at Hugo Chavez and Evo Morales about nationalization are now woefully hypocritical, woefully ineffectual, a stain on our credibility. How does that humble pie taste, Mr. and Mrs. America?

It's amazing how times and attitudes change...this sort of irresponsible government action and spending were catalysts for the North American colonies to separate from British rule, if my history books were correct...

Bailout

Ron Paul is on the mark. Too bad my vote didn't "count" in the primary election. Who are these genius representives who think you can borrow yourself out of debt? I guess its back to "we voted for these idiots and now we have the goverment we deserve". Maybe we should look at term limits for all Congress menbers. Perhaps in two terms they would get a taste of back home and how we deal with everyday issues. We fight the morning traffic to get to the job-site while their driver (paid by us ) picks them up and takes them to "the Hill" to dream up more Socialist programs,or to Dullas to jot about in a private aircraft sight-seeing. Perhaps its time we look at their salaries too, maybe each state should vote on their representive's salary. If we, the constituent, live on a medium salary by US regional standards, why should our representative not do the same? Perhaps this would encourage "term limits" and would be a lesson in ecomonics at the same time. If they were more in touch will the country. They would surely see their errors in their supporting such a crazy idea as encouraging debts that are no better than a school yard promise. Since we no longer have debtor prisons should we consider putting those who render the contract responsible ?

My money, for whats its going to be worth, is on Ron Paul. I agree the scheme will not work.
